Honest John is a progressive acoustic band; Weaving in and out of blues, jazz, folk, funk and bluegrass. After years in the woodshed; Milwaukee guitarist/singer/songwriter Jesse Voelker set out to find the right musicians. Pat Otto (CHI) on mandolin, Arron Smith (CHI) on upright bass, and Ernest Brusubardis IV (MKE) on fiddle. Named after Jesse’s late father and artwork taken from a furniture company he started in the 70’s. Honest John started performing together in the summer of 2016 and released their first, full-length, self-titled album in 2017.
